You won’t be able to get enough of this tangy-sweet Keto Honey Mustard Sauce that’s made with real honey. Made WITHOUT mayonnaise!

Honey mustard is one of my favorite dipping sauces. Even as a kid, I would always order my McDonald’s chicken nuggets with the honey mustard. Well, now I can dip my homemade chicken in a keto-friendly honey mustard sauce! And this one tastes better than the original!

Special ingredients in this honey mustard!

The sauce is sweet, tangy, and creamy. Just like it should be! And just like the original, it is made with honey. Yes, I just had to add some real honey to this recipe for that rich and deep honey flavor! Just 1 teaspoon though, so it’s still works for our low-carb way of eating. The rest of the dark sweetness comes from Swerve Brown, a keto-friendly brown sugar substitute.

For the creamy, thick consistency, I use full-fat Greek yogurt. I have tried different recipes in the past that use mayonnaise and my kids just didn’t like that. That’s why I wanted to make a sauce that’s free of mayonnaise and opted for yogurt instead. The result is simply amazing, and now even my kids can’t stop licking their fingers!

The rich creamy consistency of this sauce makes it a perfect candidate for your dipping sauce, salad dressing, and even stir-fry! Make it in 5 minutes and just keep it in a close jar in your fridge until you need it (good for about 2 weeks). You will never, ever have to buy honey mustard again with this keto-friendly recipe in your repertoire!

Tips for making a sweet and tangy honey mustard sauce!

Ingredients for honey mustard sauce.

Honey. Yes, this recipe uses real honey. Just one teaspoon though, which makes just about 6 grams of carbs. We can easily add this to one cup of sauce without reaching our carb threshold with only 1 gram of net carbs per 2 tablespoons of serving. However, if you prefer to omit the honey, simply replace it with another teaspoon of Swerve Brown.

Mustard. To complement the rich sweetness of honey and Swerve Brown, we use Dijon mustard, a spicy and pungent mustard. When you buy your mustard, buy a brand that doesn’t have sugar listed in the ingredients list.

Lemon juice. Use FRESHLY squeezed lemon juice for your mustard. If you are out of lemons, you can also try apple cider vinegar.

Cooking. Heat your mixture over medium-low heat, just until your sweeteners are dissolved. Don’t forget to whisk.

Greek yogurt. Add your whole-fat Greek yogurt last. This will cool down your mixture and make the sauce ready for serving!

This will be your new go-to Keto Honey Mustard Sauce!
