This Air Fryer Bread is not only incredibly quick and easy to make, but it also tastes just like traditional wheat bread! No grains, no gluten, and 100% low carb!

Yes, these photos are real! I couldn’t believe, either, how beautifully this Air Fryer bread turned out! I think I may like it even more than my Keto Rustic Bread, just because it bakes so fast! So, if you have an Air Fryer and want some bread, you need to try this recipe. Doesn’t even matter if are on a low-carb diet or not!

Sliced Air Fryer Bread

The preparation is very easy, too. You simply got to combine all the ingredients, shape the dough into a loaf, and place it into your Air Fryer basket. That’s it! The result will be a chewy bread with a thick crust that will bring you right back to your pre-keto days. And all this with just 3 grams of net carbs!

Tips of making the best Air Fryer bread!

Air Fryer. To make this recipe you will need an Air Fryer (stating the obvious here). There are a variety of great machines on the market. I bought mine (a Power XL) about a year ago at Walmart. It works well for me and I like the large 7-quart capacity. The number one seller on Amazon is the Cosori. It doesn’t really matter which one you have, as along as a 7-inch loaf can fit in there.

Psyllium husk. As in my other bread recipes, I use psyllium husk powder here. It gives keto bread a chewy crust. I use the NOW brand.

Oat fiber. This is the first time, I used oat fiber for one of my recipes and I’m very happy with the outcome. It gives the bread a hearty flavor and gives is a wonderful “bread-like” texture! Don’t worry, oat fiber is a keto-friendly ingredient! It’s made from the non-digestible oat hull, NOT the high-carb oat grains. Because it’s a fiber, it works great for low-carb recipes.

Seeds. I added sunflower seeds to my bread dough. This is optional, but gives the bread more flavor and some crunch. You can also opt for sesame seeds or pumpkin seeds. If possible, opt for unsalted seeds without any added oils. Dry roasted sunflower seeds taste great.

Shaping. Before you shape the dough, make sure to let it rest for 5 minutes. This will help absorb some of the moisture. To shape, wet your hands, this will prevent the dough from sticking to your fingers. I went for a rectangular shape of about 7″x4″, but you can also make an oval loaf.

Baking. Cut out a piece of parchment paper that’s slightly larger than your loaf and place it in your Air Fryer basket. If you have a moveable tray, move it into the lowest position.

Bake the bread at 340 degrees for 35 minutes, flipping the bread upside down midway through. Be careful when you do that, as the bread will be hot. I use a clean kitchen towel for flipping.

Serving. My favorite way to eat rustic bread is with herb butter (doesn’t get much more keto than that!). Of course, you can also try cheese, cream cheese, ham, or how about avocado? This is a sturdy bread that can handle it all!

Yes, it’s possible – Keto Air Fryer Bread!

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together yogurt, eggs, and apple cider vinegar. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together all remaining ingredients, except seeds (if using). Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until well combined. Let rest for 5 minutes, then stir in seeds if desired.
  • Shape dough on a piece of parchment paper. To shape, wet your hands, this will prevent the dough from sticking to your fingers. I went for a rectangular shape of about 7"x4", but you can also make an oval loaf. Cut around the parchment paper, so that it's only slightly largen than the loaf and place the bread on the parchment in the lowest tray of your Air Fryer basket.
  • Bake at 340 °F for 35 minutes, flipping the bread upside down midway through. Be careful when you do that, as the bread will be hot. I use a clean kitchen towel for flipping. Enjoy with your favorite toppings!

Notes

Seeds. I added sunflower seeds to my bread dough. This is optional, but the artisan flavor it gives the bread. You can also opt for sesame seeds or pumpkin seeds. If possible, opt for unsalted seeds without any added oils. Dry roasted sunflower seeds taste great.
To freeze, slice bread first and then freeze in freezer bag for up to 1 month. Good covered on the counter for up to 2-3 days or up to 5 days in the fridge. Best stored in a bread bag.

  1. Hello, the bread looks wonderful! I’m wondering if sour cream can be substituted for the yogurt.
Thank you for this recipe as I LOVE using my airfryer.

I’ve used sour cream jn place of yogurt every time…t works perfectly. I have baked a dozen loaves or more using this recipe. This is my absolute favorite keto bread recipe by far. Ludmila, you are wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing this genius air fryer bread! Would you have an air fryer pumpernickle or dark rye bread recipe you might share too? Thanks so much!

        • Jensen, thank you so much for your lovely comment! This made my day ❤️
I don’t have another Air Fryer recipe recipe as for now, but I do have a bread recipe that tastes like a traditional coarse pumpernickel. It’s made Nut and Seed Bread (it’s oven-baked). Here is the link if you want to check it out https://lowcarbabode.com/nut-and-seed-bread-keto-paleo/
          Have a wonderful day!

    This Looks Wonderful 😊

Could I bake this Bread in the Oven and Use A Bread Loaf Pan instead? (I have one made of Glass). I’ll use some parchment paper. But, How Long should I bake it in the oven for and At What Temperature??

  3. Hi Ludmila,
My air fryer’s temperature range is only up to 200C
Could I still bake the bread but extend the cooking time and by how much.
    Thank you

    • Donna, in the recipe I give the temperature in Fahrenheit. 340F is 170C. So that should work with your air fryer 😃

            Hi Ludmila,
I have just made the Bread and I couldn’t wait for it to cool down a bit, I have just got to try it.
And I love it. It has a nice crust and still moist inside.
Also I added 1/4 cup sunflower seeds and 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds. Very yummy indeed. Thank you ! Cheers!

          • Great! I love pumpkin seeds! And I’m the same – I can never wait for the bread to cool down 😅 Glad you like it!

            Hi Ludmila,
I hope you and your family are keeping safe and well.
Sharing again with you that I made the air fryer bread for the third time yesterday. I didn’t have the oat fiber so I used a mixture of ground linseeds, sunflower seeds and almonds and the bread still turned out beautiful and yummy. My only problem is I can’t stop with only 1 slice as I find it moorish. Thanks again.
            Cheers.

          • Donna, thank you for this sweet comment ❤️ So glad you like this bread! You can always slice and freeze it 😉

I made this bread exactly as per the recipe and cook time. With the only exception being the pine nuts. I used pili nuts instead. This was my first ‘bread’ that I’ve eaten since going keto 4 months ago. It’s pretty good. A little dense compared to normal bread, plus mine didn’t expand as big as yours. I don’t think I’ll be making this often because I want to stay away from these items, but once in a while whenever I get a bread craving–this is nice. Thanks.

    • Glad you like the bread! It is nice to have that option on a low-carb diet once in a while, right? Thank you for sharing the photos! 😃 😊

      • Ideally, it would be nice to have a ‘bread’ for sandwiches or burgers. But I can make do with lettuce for the time being. I think I will try your Keto Rustic Bread and your carnivore bread. I like the ingredients in those. This one I made has oat fiber, and I’m not sure if that ingredient causes inflammation. I am totally off grains/wheat for good. I have a sensitivity to it.

          • oh, nice. Those look good. Also, your recipe doesn’t require a baking mold. Just shape and put them on a tray. I like cooking, but REALLY hate baking. So easy items like this encourages me to at least try them. I’ll post pics of all these I try.

One thing I will note, of all the forbidden items on low carb: Grains, Sugar, Potatoes, and rice. I would gladly keep potatoes and rice, if I could. Haha.

          • Oh, I don’t blame you! Potato and rice and all the things you can make with them!
Looking forward to see your pics!

  5. This looks delicious! I love the air fryer approach. Can I substitute something else for the Oat Fiber for inflammatory concerns? Thanks for sharing…you are wonderful!

Well I took a chance and gave it a try and it turned out quite good using flax eggs – even my husband liked it. I used:
    * 4 Tbsps. flaxseed meal (ground raw flaxseed)
    * 10 Tbsps. water
I mixed that together and let it sit until it formed a gel. I’ll definitely be making this again. Thanks.

  7. Hello Ludmila! Thanks for this recipe! I have all the ingredients but my almond flour is not blanched. Can I still attempt the bread? 🙂

    • Yes, it should still work. It will just be a little courses. You may also need a little less almond flour if it’s not blanched.

Thank you for the best keto bread recipe I have tried so far. I made it in my 5.5l Cosori at 170 degrees for 35 minutes and it was beyond gorgeous.
I didn’t have oat fibre so I substituted extra psyllium husk and it worked perfectly.
I couldn’t believe how straightforward this was to make and I will definitely be making it again (and again)!

    • So glad you liked this bread! And good to know that you could make it work without oat fiber! Thank you for your lovely comment ❤️

My husband and I LOVED this bread. The flavor and texture were wonderful. Before we went low carb, we both enjoyed European-style bread. This is it what we’ve been missing on low carb. I’m excited to try the author’s other recipes.

  10. Hi Ludmila

Do you have to use psyllium husk as I dont have any and would love to try this recipe as soon as possible.

    Thank you

    Angela

    • Hi Angela,
I would say yes. Otherwise, you would need to change the ratios of the other ingredients, as psyllium husk powder is very absorbent. It also gives the bread that nice crust.
